Purim at BHBE!

Purim will be here soon (March 17th)!
Keep reading to see how you can participate in this wonderful holiday at BHBE!

Our theme this year is “Get Back!”
It’s difficult to believe it’s been 2 years since we’ve been together for a special event like this! Join us! Let’s Get Back together!

During Purim we celebrate mitzvot of Mishloah Manot (giving  to friends) and Matanot L’evyonim (giving to those in need).

Purchase Mishloach Manot!

In the Book of Esther we read: “Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the unwalled towns, made the 14th day of the month of Adar a day of gladness and feasting, a holiday, and of sending portions to one another
(mishloach manot).”

From this historical event, our rabbis taught that one of the mitzvot of our joyous celebration is to send gifts of food to each other on the holiday of Purim.

You can participate in this mitzvah and BHBE fundraiser by contributing to BHBE’s Mishloach Manot program. Follow the link, below.

Regardless of your participation, everyone will receive a basket! Your contribution will mean your name will be included on your recipients’ lists. Your contribution will help support BHBE!

Pricing
$10.00 for your first recipient
$3.50 for each subsequent recipient
For $500 you can be included on the list to the entire congregation
If you purchase the $500 option, you will receive 2 free tickets to the Purim Spiel!

You will be able to pick up your Mishloach Manot on March 15th and 16th at the BHBE office between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm. Please reach out to us if you need us to find another time to meet you!
