Kulanu

Kulanu – BHBE’s Shabbat and holiday programs for individuals of all ages with special abilities, their families, and friends

Here at Beth Hillel Bnai Emunah, we believe that all human beings are created in God’s image and as such all need to be treated with care, love, and respect. That is why in our community we welcome all individuals including those with special abilities. Our Kulanu committee works tirelessly to offer those individuals and their families a great and engaging set of programs. These programs engage those who attend and help them integrate into the larger BHBE community. Our programs include special Shabbatot during the year, The Klezmer Dance Party with members of the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band and the Wilmetsky Orchestra, and other wonderful and engaging projects. BHBE is a part of a larger HUGS community that consists of several synagogues and organizations. We share the calendar of events and help each other address the needs of our fellow men and women with special needs. We hope to see you at these programs and would love to welcome you to our shul!

For additional info please contact Cantor Pavel Roytman or Anita Miller.

BHBE has created a wonderful Kulanu Shabbat Prayer Book for individuals with special abilities. Copies of this prayer book are available to those who are interested. If you would like to get one of these prayer books, please contact the office at 847-256-1213 or information@bhbe.org. There is a suggested donation of $15 per book that would go to the Kulanu Committee to help cover the cost of producing the books and future programs.
