DESCRIPTION:Your Adult Education Committee is pleased to announce the retur
 n of our esteemed and beloved teacher SANDY GOLDBERG!!\n\nSandy will be te
 aching a 10-11 week course on the book ‘Letters to My Palestinian Neighb
 or”  by Yossi Klein Halevi.\n\nClasses will begin on Monday evening\, J
 une 21\, at 8:00\, and run on consecutive Monday evenings through August 2
 3 or 30.\n\n\n\nIn the course we will read Yossi Klein Halevi’s 2018 boo
 k\, LETTERS TO MY PALESTINIAN NEIGHBOR\, in which he explores the Israeli-
 Palestinian conflict with an eye towards getting both sides to listen to t
 he “dueling narratives of two traumatized people”.  This class will i
 nvolve a good deal of discussion.  We will focus on (i) Halevi’s interp
 retation of the recent history of the conflict\, (ii) his attempt to be re
 spectful of the Palestinian narrative\, and (iii) the ethical and politica
 l principles that underwrite his discussion.  We will also read several (
 favorable and critical) replies to the book\, from both Jews and Palestini
 ans\; and we will consider whether events that have transpired since the p
 ublication of this book should alter any of the views he expresses in it.\
 n\n\nIt would be helpful to have a copy of the book\, which is makes for v
 ery accessible reading.  And the chapters are not long!\n\nHope to see yo
